Student Transfers

April is Early ISD’s official transfer student application month for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Texas law provides that students must attend school in the district in which they reside, unless they have requested an annual transfer into another district. Transfer applications should be completed during the designate time set aside for transfer requests. The transfer must be officially approved by the receiving district’s Board of Trustees.

Online applications are being accepted again this year. Only the parent or legal guardian may fill out the application. Pease fill out one application per child.

Approval or Denial notification will be sent electronically by email. Be sure to provide a valid email when filling out the form. If your student has never attended EISD before, please be prepared to provide the following records: grades, attendance, discipline and STAAR scores.

Please NOTE* Sending district is where you will list the district and campus name in which your child would attend based on where our reside. Regardless, if your child attended EISD last year, we must have sending district and campus name. If you do not fill out the form correctly, it could result in the delay of your transfer approval.
