EHS PALs (Peer Assistance Leaders)

PALs consists of Senior students who are helpful, trustworthy, caring and able to work well with children.  The selection process involves completing an application form and having an interview.  Participation in this program gives students an opportunity to put their skills of working with children to use.  Our PALs currently visit the Primary campus twice a week.  There they read and play with Kindergarten, interact with first grade during PE, and engage students in recreation while on the playground.  PALs also participate on the Elementary campus.  There they teach character lessons to 3rd, 4th, 5th grade reiterating important life skills.  PALs are also in charge of planning the annual Drug Free Pep Rally. PALs additionally aid teachers with the Primary Fun Day and the Elementary AR fair. This class is a class period and is a year-long commitment. It provides students with ample hours in service.
