Fireworks will do all kinds of unique, useful and just fun effects with color, shape, texture, etc. Here's the trick:
You are just going to have to sit down and play with it. There's just no other way to get grasp of all the neat things you can do. I will explain how I added the effects to the Dance pic used for this tutorial, but there is so much more that Fireworks will do. Make sure to take some time out just to play!
