Getting started in Dreamweaver
is easy. It will automatically open a new, blank web page for you to work on. The file name and page title will be "Untitled". {This is something you will want to pay attention to later on so your web pages on the Internet are not labeled"Untitled Document" at the top.} The Common Toolbar has just about all of the things you will need to create a basic web site. The Properties Toolbar will show you the properties of the item that is selected at that moment (text, images, tables, etc.). The Site Window will show you all of the files within your site -- this makes it very easy to work with several files at once. The Preview icon is the planet, which is appropriate since Preview will show you what your web page will look like to the world. Now it's time to set up your web site!
