Now some really fun stuff
-- adding pics to your pages! Everyone likes to get on the Internet
and look at pics. One of the best ways to get people to your site is
to have pics they want to see. The first step in adding
pics to your web page does NOT include Dreamweaver. The first
thing you need to do is make a folder inside of your
web site folder called "images"
(or "pics" or something that even a blonde would recognize
as the place where pics are saved). The second thing
you need to do is save your optimized pics here. {If
you don't know how to optimize,
learn it now.} Now, if you have all the pics you want to use saved in your images folder, you can go back to Dreamweaver. •• Insert images into your page •• Add a Background to your page ••
Inserting
images in Dreamweaver is a snap. Just click on the Insert Image
button (or you can go to Insert, Image).
Pictures
are great. But what you really want to do is to add a cool background
image, huh? First things first. So, back to adding the aforementioned
background. Very simple. First, be sure that you have
followed the directions on saving the image file to your images
folder. You've got your web site started and looking good. Let's organize all those photos with a web photo album.
