We already have a web page. Now let's add some links and make a web site! Links, or hyperlinks, simply
connect two files together. You can connect your web page to another
page in your site, or you can connect to a page in someone else's site.
You can connect to picture files (like .jpg or .gif), media
files (like .wmf or .mpg) or other files (like .pdf).
•• Email Links •• Links to another web site •• Links within your web site •• Email
Links: An Email Link Window will appear. The text that you selected should be in the Text blank. Enter the appropriate e-mail address in the E-mail blank, then click OK. The text will change color (according to whatever color you set your links to be) and be underlined. Links
to another web site: Use the Preview icon to check out your page and test your links. Links
within your web site: You can double-click on the
file to open it. To create a link
between pages, simply select the text that
you want to be a link, then click the yellow folder
next to the Link blank on the Properties
window. This will let you browse to the file to which
you want to link. On your first page, you should
have a link to your second page and vice versa. Here's what your second
page might look like: Save your files. Be sure to Preview them to check your links. You now have a web site!
