What is Algebra?
Algebra is taking real world problems and using symbols and equations to model them. It is learning to think about problems logically and abstractly. It is not a coninuation of Jr. High math and that makes it tough for some students.
Success in Algebra requires that student do the following:
* Do all homework everyday. You can't get better at sports without practice. The same goes for Algebra
* Get help when you need it. I am here every day by 7:35 and stay until after 4:00. Come see me.
* Form a study group with friends. Sometimes a friend can explain it better that the teacher.
